What an October it has been! We have been spending the last couple of months in the studio with some of our friends (who are also crazy-talented musicians) to bring you…
w00000t! Here are five (5) covers for you and yours to enjoy under the light of the Harvest Moon this Autumn. We have been releasing one tune a week throughout the month of October, but here they all are now, so you can enjoy them all in one place! Each tune features one or more of our musician pals from around DFW, who are AMAZING people and incredibly talented musicians. We cannot thank everyone who helped us out with this enough, and are truly thankful to have the opportunity to work with such gifted people-all of whom are right in our own backyard (the back yard of North Texas, that is)! And before we forget, there are available for a FREE DOWNLOAD as well. FREE DOWNLOAD. FREE DOWNLOAD. So if you want to take them with you on the go, you can do it to it! Also, check out the links below for a list of everyone who helped us out and a link to their personal music adventures. Enjoy and have a fantastic Autumn, everyone!

The last couple of months have been CRAZY busy for us here at Lindby HQ, but it has been wonderful all the same. We’ve been spending most of our time in the studio (check out The Lindby Bandcamp Page to see what we’ve been up to…and expect a post about it soon!), but we’ve also been playing a lot of shows and meeting tons of fantastic new folks!
Here now, for your enjoyment, are some videos of us performing at the Fort Worth Rock Assembly II, covering the music of David Bowie. We had a BLAST! In addition to that, we’ve also got a couple of videos of us at the 8-bit Bonanza, including one that features our good friend Doug Funnie! So check ‘em out, enjoy this awesome weather we’ve been having, and love your mother!

The Fort Worth Weekly has announced the lineup and locations for their 2013 Music Awards Festival on June 23rd. Lindby will be playing at Poag Mahone’s (700 Carroll St, 817-529-9141) at 6pm, but definitely check out some of the other awesome bands playing around the West 7th corridor all afternoon. To see who else is playing and where, check out the full schedule on the Weekly’s website HERE. And, as always, vote Lindby for “Best Pop Act” and “Best EP” HERE. TO RECAP:
June 23rd. 6pm. Lindby. Poag Mahone’s. Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards Festival.
Lindby’s track, “Baby James,” is number 17, but definitely give the other tunes a listen as well! They are all FANTASTIC and will definitely give you a good idea on what to expect at this year’s Music Awards Festival. And, as always, a physical copy of the comp CD will be available at the Awards Festival on June 23rd at all of the venues (times and locations to be announced soon) for $5, and all the proceeds go towards The Weekly’s charity sponsors: SafeHaven of Tarrant County and the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Also, don’t forget to vote for Lindby in the “Best Pop Act” and “Best EP” category for the Fort Worth Weekly’s Music Awards! You can place your vote HERE
So check out “Baby James” and all of the other bands’ tracks and stay tuned for more details on Lindby at the Music Awards Festival!
We are incredibly honored to announce that Lindby has been nominated for “Best Pop Act,” and our latest project, “Christmas with Lindby & Friends,” has been nominated for “Best EP” on The Fort Worth Weekly‘s Music Awards Ballot!
Now comes the part where we ask all of you, the viewers (of this post), to ROCK THE VOTE and help us out by placing a vote for us HERE
In addition to the nomination, we also visited Eagle Audio Recording Studios this past Saturday to record a track for the The Fort Worth Weekly‘s Music Awards Compilation CD. Here is what the Weekly has to say about the comp CD:
“As part of Music Awards every year, we also corral a bunch of nominees, ply them with free food and booze, and force each of them to record a live track for us at Eagle Audio Recording on the Near Southside. We then compile the tunes into a CD that we sell for charity. Through the $5-a-pop sale of our comps over the past several years, we’ve raised nearly $5,000 for our charity sponsors: SafeHaven of Tarrant County and the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Our 2013 comp is coming along just swimmingly. Get ready for new or previously unreleased tracks from Big City Folk, The Breakfast Machine, The Diabolical Machines, Dru B Shinin’, Ice Eater, Jacob Furr & The Only Road, Lindby, The Longshots, Missing Sibling, Patriot, Siberian Traps, Sonic Buffalo, Un Chien, We’rewolves, Year of the Bear, and a few more.”
Also, we will be playing at The Fort Worth Weekly‘s Music Awards Festival on Sunday, June 23 in the West 7th corridor. The venue and time is still TBA, but we will let you know as soon as we do!
PHEW! VERY exciting things happening around here. Not to mention all of the recording, and preparing we’re doing for upcoming shows! Again, HERE is the link for voting on the Music Awards and stay tuned for more updates as they come. Thanks everyone!
Exactly 7,168 days ago, Mortal Kombat was released on the Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Gameboy, and Sega Game Gear on a day that will be forever remembered as MORTAL MONDAY. Check it out, love your mother, and Happy MORTAL MONDAY to all!
It’s back to the studio we go! Here are a few shots of Logan laying down some fresh beats for some upcoming Lindby projects AND the upcoming Lindby/DOUG FUNNIE mixtape.

Peace! Love, Lindby
…in a house on Atwood Drive, three high school freshmen decided it would be fun to start a band. Enter Nick Spurrier, Stuart Hausmann, and Nick Goodrich. The three would go on to do amazing things (eat Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, get the cops called on them, etc), write amazing songs (Move On – a virtual powerchord symphony, Furnination – a song based off of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, etc), and play amazing shows (the 3-song set during Mrs. Baker’s Freshman English class, The various FMHS talent shows, etc).
Why is this important? Why does this matter? What does Mrs. Baker have to do with anything and where is she now? Well, ten (10) years ago (that’s ONE DECADE, PEOPLE!), this happened:
That’s right, folks. “Lindby” (even though back then we were known as “5 In The Eye”) was, for all intents and purposes, born ten (10) years ago yesterday. We have seen a LOT of members come and go over the years, and we have truly treasured each practice, gig, recording session, road trip, etc we’ve had with them. We really could not have gotten to where we are today without each and every one of them, and for that we say say thank you! For those of you reading this who have stuck it out with us throughout the years, thanks for hanging in there with us. Again, we could never have done it without you. Your patience, support, and love have really kept us going. For those of you who are relatively new to Lindby, thanks for your support as well! We have really been encouraged by your love, spirit, and kindness towards us and we have some FANTASTIC things in store for you (well everyone, really). It has really been a wild and crazy ride for us and we feel like we’re only getting started. So raise your goblet of rock, and join with me in saying:
Happy 10th, Lindby!
