Well February has come and gone, and things in the studio are coming along swimmingly. Expect to see more updates as we chug along in there, and be sure to follow us on twitter (@lindbymusic) for updates AS THEY HAPPEN. What a world! But yes, we’re looking to have to finished product done by Fall 2014, so yeehaw!
Anyways, Now that it’s March (and Ali and Kyle have nailed down more wedding details), it’s back to the stage we go! You can check out the SHOWS page for more info, but we wanted to let everyone know about two shows in particular (which also happen to be the next two shows we’re playing).
First off is the Hand-Drawn Records unofficial showcase at SXSW! It’s going to be a The Brasshouse in Austin, and is going to be a KILLER showcase, with plenty of bands from the DDFW and more. We’ll be on the Brass Stage at 3pm on March 15th, but stick around for all of the incredible music before and after us! If you’re in Austin, swing by and say hi!
Next is a showcase that was rescheduled due to Mother Nature’s blue-screen-of-death moment we had this past Sunday. Lindby, Droidekka, and possibly one other soon-to-be-announced band will be playing the Green Audio Showcase at The Grotto on March 23rd. It’s $5 to get in, and 100% of that goes towards funding Ben Napier’s own Green Audio Productions in Fort Worth. Kick it with some local music and support the scene in more ways than one!
There ya have it! A busy March, and we’ve got an even busier April on the way (ALI AND KYLE ARE GETTING MARRIED FTW OMG OFC PWNAGE), so stay tuned and love your mother!
Oh, and if you were too lazy to go through all that, here are the Facebook events for each of those shows:
Happy New Year everyone! We hope you have had a great start to 2014, and have already made it one heck of a year! Here at Lindby HQ, we are going to be heading back into the studio for the month of February to really get the wheels rolling on our next full-length album, AND continue laying down tracks for our collaboration album with the incredible, the amazing…”DOUG FUNNIE“! We’ll be back at it for the month of March, so stay tuned for studio updates, shows updates and more!

Lindby’s track, “Baby James,” is number 17, but definitely give the other tunes a listen as well! They are all FANTASTIC and will definitely give you a good idea on what to expect at this year’s Music Awards Festival. And, as always, a physical copy of the comp CD will be available at the Awards Festival on June 23rd at all of the venues (times and locations to be announced soon) for $5, and all the proceeds go towards The Weekly’s charity sponsors: SafeHaven of Tarrant County and the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Also, don’t forget to vote for Lindby in the “Best Pop Act” and “Best EP” category for the Fort Worth Weekly’s Music Awards! You can place your vote HERE

We are incredibly honored to announce that Lindby has been nominated for “Best Pop Act,” and our latest project, “Christmas with Lindby & Friends,” has been nominated for “Best EP” on The Fort Worth Weekly‘s Music Awards Ballot!
Now comes the part where we ask all of you, the viewers (of this post), to ROCK THE VOTE and help us out by placing a vote for us HERE
In addition to the nomination, we also visited Eagle Audio Recording Studios this past Saturday to record a track for the The Fort Worth Weekly‘s Music Awards Compilation CD. Here is what the Weekly has to say about the comp CD:
“As part of Music Awards every year, we also corral a bunch of nominees, ply them with free food and booze, and force each of them to record a live track for us at Eagle Audio Recording on the Near Southside. We then compile the tunes into a CD that we sell for charity. Through the $5-a-pop sale of our comps over the past several years, we’ve raised nearly $5,000 for our charity sponsors: SafeHaven of Tarrant County and the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Our 2013 comp is coming along just swimmingly. Get ready for new or previously unreleased tracks from Big City Folk, The Breakfast Machine, The Diabolical Machines, Dru B Shinin’, Ice Eater, Jacob Furr & The Only Road, Lindby, The Longshots, Missing Sibling, Patriot, Siberian Traps, Sonic Buffalo, Un Chien, We’rewolves, Year of the Bear, and a few more.”
Also, we will be playing at The Fort Worth Weekly‘s Music Awards Festival on Sunday, June 23 in the West 7th corridor. The venue and time is still TBA, but we will let you know as soon as we do!
PHEW! VERY exciting things happening around here. Not to mention all of the recording, and preparing we’re doing for upcoming shows! Again, HERE is the link for voting on the Music Awards and stay tuned for more updates as they come. Thanks everyone!
